Exploring Through Transitions Intermediate on Single Point Trapeze
Prerequisites: Inversion in the rope, 2 years trapeze experience, 2 pullups
Sometimes trapeze can get a bit rigid and static. This workshop will introduce a new theory towards movement on the trapeze. First we will focus on using momentum and how with proper technique you can begin exploration in your moment of air. Secondly we will go over some sequences that begin unveiling a whole new language of trapeze. From sequencing in the ropes to movement under the bar we will play with a variety of new transitions that will bring a fresh breath to choreography on the trapeze.

Skinner Releasing 1 & Aerial Technique with Nancy Smith
Age Limit: 14+ or by instructor permission
Prereqs: Previous aerial training highly recommended, though not required.
SRT is a highly useful form of kinesthetic training practiced by dancers, aerialists, actors and performers throughout the world. It integrates poetic imagery, hands-on partner studies, and innovative movement practices that foster greater technical and aesthetic growth. SRT emphasizes principles of multidirectional balancing, multidimensional being, and economy to enhance one’s movement process. Low-flying trapezes periodically occupy the space and provide opportunities to explore, expand and refine the Releasing experience. Gain fluidity, grace and economy of movement through this practice.
Transitions and Sequencing on the Fabrics with Megan Cattau
Age Limit: 16+ or by instructor permission
Prereqs: Must be comfortable with foot locks in the air and be able to invert from hanging (i.e., not using the floor). This class is intended for students who can spend at least 2 straight minutes on the fabrics or other vertical apparatus and is appropriate for level 2-4 fabric students.
