What is StudCo and who is it for?
Frequent Flyers Student Company is for enthusiastic students willing to grow as aerialists, dancers, artists, performers, and team members. Students should have a strong desire to learn more about the art of aerial dance and have the ability to be a focused, positive presence in classes and rehearsals. Frequent Flyers Student Company will present a professional-quality production December 2024 at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder.
MISSION: The Frequent Flyers® Student Company is a supportive community fostering
creative aerial dance performance opportunities while empowering the individual to embody confidence in their artistic and technical abilities. Embedded in a safe, supportive, non-competitive environment, students can soar in their artistic expression, connecting the ground and the air.
As a Student Company member, you receive a 15% discount on weekly Student Company rehearsals and one technique class per session. PLUS a 10% discount on any additional class that you take throughout the semester!
Fall 2024 Adult Student Company
Performance Date: December 14 at the Dairy Arts Center
New Students: Applications are due by Friday, June 21st, to casey@frequentflyers.org. You will be notified of your acceptance by Monday, June 24th, and contracts will be due Friday, June 28th, to casey@frequentflyers.org.
Participation Requirements:
Each company member must be ages 18+ and have completed a minimum of a full year of classes at a Level 2 prior to joining Student Company. Please email casey@frequentflyers.org if you have any questions about qualifying.
Required Classes/Rehearsals
Each company member is required to attend:
- Student Company class on Wednesdays from 6:45pm-8:45pm
- One aerial technique class for each spring session: Fall 1; Fall 2; and Fall 3. (You may take different technique classes each session.)
- Show week theater rehearsals at the Dairy Arts Center including Tech Rehearsal, Dress Rehearsal, and Saturday evening performance.
Fall 2024 Youth/Teen Student Company
Performance Dates: December 13-14 at the Dairy Arts Center
Returning Students: Contracts are due by Friday, June 28th to casey@frequentflyers.org
