Glenn P. Davis Scholarship: Val Russell
This scholarship is made possible by the love and generosity of Glenn Davis’ family.
My name is Val Russell. I am the owner and founder of Alpine Aerial Acrobatics. Before this company, I owned Push Pilates for 15 years, Memphis Aerial Arts for 10 years and had a performance troupe, Valeria’s Wings for 9 years. I have Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a Masters of Fine Arts from The San Francisco Arts Institute. I have spent my adult life creating art and studying movement both for health and creativity. I have been working with creative and healthy movement for three decades both volunteering and running for profit businesses that support both!
Val’s sense of adventure and deep understanding of core control as well as a love of nature and the mountains inspires a unique brand of teaching. When not instructing, Val is a full time mommy to Porter and two dogs Scout and Creek. These three can be found on weekends climbing rocks and flying on bridges.
